Each of it has an important rule of our lives that became a big part of our lives. That opens a huge door of many things that we couldn't imagine that we've already have. And this story may able to see the truth behind everything that you've didn't look back or given an important to know what was happening behind you. What was the true reason why there's a gap between you and them... And there is someone would be able to see the truth that may help you to pass through on that gap of yours.

Beginning...

Is Acceptance…

We, as a human can easily accepted a new born life. We were so glad and so happy seeing a new life that we may able to enjoy. That we may able to experience and see what would they be in the future.

Is Learning...

We, as a human can easily learn everything that surrounds us and we could easily cope up with the different things that we may experience through our lives. It was so easy to be learning new things in life and it was up to us if we enjoy it, like it and love it or maybe... We may hate it, be hurt from it and be bad or sad about it. The important is that, we were learning everything in this world!

And Changes...

We, as a human can easily change and it was up to us if it is good or bad. It is up to us if we choose the right way or the wrong way of living. It doesn't matter if we hurt or not the person that surrounds us mostly for those people that became part of our lives. It was you who change and we couldn't stop it nor escape from it.

Ending...

Is Truth...

We, as a human have it most inner weakness and it was the truth that our lives have its ending. We mostly wanted to escape from the deaths that we try all the things that may able to prolong our lives. But the truth, we couldn't escape it nor ignores it. If a new born live has its beginning... A life of ours has it's on ending... Whether you like it or not, it would come in the right time, in the right place and in the right moment. We knew or even we didn't know, still the truth may come to us...

Is Chances...

We, as a human that lives in the mortal world have its own chances to our selves. Whether it was good or bad, it was up to you because it was your own life. And you've been given a mind to think and figure out things that surrounds in you. You have the freedom to choose, freedom to see and feel and it was up to you if you’re going to use it in a good or bad ways. But chances were hard to take or have because once a life may end up. It was totally the end and you couldn't do anything that may able to change the wrong things that you've done into the mortal world.

And Opening...

We, as a human would only see the right things when we were at the last minute of our lives. Things that we didn't realize before would slowly open into our mind and heart but it was too late for us to realize it. Death is the opener of the things that we've been done wrong in this mortal world and if that time comes. It was too late to neither feel guilty nor feel sorry for those people who we hurt and suffers...

Thin Line...

Is a realization of something in between of the Beginning and Ending. It may unfold many things that we didn't know to our lives for long, long years of our living here in our mortal world...

Line One: Death!

            At exact five in the morning, Ms. Rachel Johnson wake up early to prepare her self to go at her office. She prepares her own breakfast, prepare her own suits, prepare her own things that needed to her company, prepare her car and mostly prepare her own self. That was her life routine for almost ten years being here in the mortal world. And that’s the life she only knew since she started handling their company and she’s the big reason why it became more successful than before.

            She was only seventeen when her father thought her about their company and at that young age she manages to handle it good. She immediately learned many things at their company that made her promote at the higher position in a young age of nineteen. Even though she’s still studying, she still manages to handle those two fields at the same time.

            She’s so smart, tough, open minded and strict that made her at the top position mostly when her father died. She was immediately chosen to be the next CEO of their company because of what she already been proven in their company. At the age of twenty one, she was their new CEO of their company and at that age she was the most successful young business woman, though.

            Her life revolves around her company that causes her to be left alone for years now. She’s been living alone far from her families even her friends were too aloof to be with her because her seriousness in terms of life. Even her relationship was far behind her and that’s the reason why she, at the age of twenty eight, didn’t have a boyfriend.

            Why? Because, for her! Life is too short! So, she makes all the things that may able to make her to stay on the top. She didn’t care about socialising if it was not about the business nor didn’t care about the family gathering if it was not about a business thing. That’s her mind was settled and no one could ever change that!

            “Good morning, Ms. Johnson!” her secretary greeted before she get in to her office. She just nodded as an answer and went inside her office while her secretary followed her inside.

            “What’s my schedule for today, Elise?” she asked her secretary after she sat down to her swivel chair and look at the papers at the top of her office table.

            “You have a meeting with Mr. Brown at nine in morning. After that, you have a launch meeting with Mr. and Mrs. Clinton and at three in the afternoon you have to come with Eng. Rodriguez to see the site.”

            She looks at her. “Okay! Just inform soon the meeting with Mr. Brown would start.” She said.

            “Yes, Ms. Johnson!”

            “Okay! You can live now, thank you!” and she continued reading the files at her table.

            Her secretary just bow and left her alone and she just continued her works when someone texted her. At first she didn’t want to check or even look whose texting her because she already knew it was just a waste of time. But the text became a call and she already knew who was calling her. The type of the ring tone that ringing, she knew it was her sister who’s calling her at that moment in time.

            She obliges to answer it even though she’s too busy make that call. “Yes!” she answered in a lazy tone.

            “Hey! What up, sis!” her sister answered so gladly as if she didn’t knew that she’s disturbing her at that time.

            “Make it straight, Raquel! Because you’ve already disturbed my works here!” she said in almost controlling her self not to shout on her.

            “Oh! Sorry, I forgot that your time is gold!” she said in a sarcastic tone. “Well, I just call you up to inform you about the anniversary of our Mom and Dad and it would start at four in the afternoon. I hope you may come! You knew that our Mom would be very happy to see you there. Well, even if Dad wasn’t around still… he would be happy if you would make time to come on their anniversary.” She said.

            She sighs when she remembered the date today that made her to remember their Dad who’s in peace now. But she already knew that she couldn’t come on time because she’s being needed at the sight where Eng. Rodriguez needs her supervision quick. Because that project was too important to handle by her and because it causes a million dollar job so she was really in need to be there.

            “I’m–––’’

            “Don’t say sorry, please!” her sister cut her off before she said it. “Just, come! Even if, you were late! Because the most important thing for our Mom is to see you once more so, please! Just come even if it was too late!” she added almost pleading.

            And how could her sister done that? Well, it was because since she became the CEO of her company she doesn’t even had time neither for her family nor to her friends. She just became a workaholic as what they always told her, that her life surrounds only to her company. That she didn’t even knew how to enjoy the life that she had!

            Well, she’s already familiar with her own routine in life and it was hard for her to neither change nor adjust from it. It would be a big sacrifice on her part and she couldn’t think if she can do it. Living her works behind? It would be a hard thing to do!

            She takes a deep breath before she answered her. “Okay! I’ll try to go there, and besides I’ll be on the sight at that time so… I think, I’ll text or call you up if I’ll be there.” She said in a final tone before her sister would force her to say something else.

            She heard her takes a deep breath before she answered her. “Okay!” she said in a force tone. “Just do it early so that I would explain to Mom if you would not be able to come.”

            She secretly sighs. “Okay!” she answered. “I need to go back work now.” She said to end up their conversation.

            “Okay! I understand, bye!” she said.

            “Bye!” and she put down her phone and look at the outside. She saw the sky and the other higher companies and by looking at it she felt so free and light. As if, where ever she was right at that moment she’s happy and contented on it! She smiles and then back at her works and continued her life as what it was!

            At exact three in the afternoon, Eng. Rodriguez came to her office and fetches her to see the site. She ordered her secretary to call her up if there are things that she needs to be there. And after that, they already go on and went straight at the site. From there, she already made a meeting for all the workers, from the higher position to the lower position. Afterwards, together with Eng. Rodriguez with the other engineering they search the whole area and check what would be needed to added that would improve the building and the place more.

            It was already past eight in the evening when she notice that it was already late and she didn’t yet texted nor called up her sister. So, she takes her cell phone at her pocket only to saw hundred texts and calls came from Raquel. When she saw it, she immediately calls her up and…

            “I’m sorry if I didn’t call you up as early as I can! I was too busy that–––’’

            “I know! I know!” she said that cut her off. “Anyways, I’m just glad that you’ve already called up! Well, I could now tell Mom that you were just fine and safe.” She said in a sarcastic tone and she already understands it because it was her fault.

            “Okay! Ju–––’’ she was about to say something when Raquel already hang up the phone. And she already knew why her sister done it because she’s mad at her at that time. She didn’t even recognize what would her family mostly her Mom would feel if she ignores them. But it was too late for her to finally realize it! She already done it so wrong and all the she could do was to make up with her family.

            “Are you going home now, Rachel?” Eng. Rodriguez asked when he saw her packing up her things.

            She smiles at him. “Indeed!” she said. “And I already called up a cab so, you don’t have to take me home.” She added because when Eng. Rodriguez fetched her at the office. She didn’t bring her own car because they both decided to ride in his car. So, that it would not be hard for them to go at the sight.

            “No! I refuse!” he said. “Cancel that cab and I’ll get you back home now. And besides, it was my duty to take you home after I drag you in here.” he said and added quickly before she answer. “No buts! Just do as what I say!” he said in a final tone that made her to smile at him and agreed with it.

            “Thanks for taking me home, Jorge!” she said before she got down to his car.

            “It’s my pleasure, Rachel!” he said.

            She smiles at him. “Good night! And take care driving!” she said when she got out the car.

            “I will and good night!” he said and said goodbye then she waited there at the outside till his car gone to her sight.

            Afterwards, she decided to get inside when she heard a commotion at the next house of her. She looks at it and saw the woman run out the house and then the next thing that came out of the house was her husband who’s holding a gun!

            It made her scared because she knew that he would fire it to his wife and she didn’t want to witness it nor be a victim of that man! So, she decided to hurry to get in but the woman saw her and run through her. She’s got in panic so she run through her door mostly when she saw that the husband already fired up his gone. And the wife already falls down the ground and when she looks back at the husband! She saw him, he was looking at her and because she’s scared of him. She didn’t notice that her key was already been fall down and she just notice it when she felt her hand empty.

            She tried to take it in the ground but the guy came near her and she heard him saying…

            “You saw it!” he shouted and then a second gun shot would be heard at that night…

Line Two: Nightmare!

·         Nightmare – an event or experience that is intensely distressing that would make you live in fear, horror and struggle to sleep in the night.

            At exact five in the morning, Ms. Rachel Johnson wake up early to prepare her self to go at her office. But as what she always do first thing in the morning change a bit just because of a dream that became a nightmare. She just sat down to her bed and tries to forget that nightmare. She compose her self first before she prepares her own breakfast, prepare her own suits, prepare her own things that needed to her company, prepare her car and mostly prepare her own self. And after that she got in at the road and started the day with a positive thought.

            “Good morning, Ms. Johnson!” her secretary greeted before she get in to her office. She just nodded as an answer and went inside her office while her secretary followed her inside.

            He smiles at her and, “Okay! I was just trying to make through on you, but well! I think, I still couldn’t make it!” he said that made her to smile.

            “Okay!” she said and came out of his car. “Go on! It’s too late now and I knew you need to be early for tomorrow! Take care driving!”

He smiles at her. “I will and good night!” he said and said goodbye then she waited there at the outside till his car gone to her sight.

            Afterwards, she decided to get inside when she heard a commotion at the next house of her. She looks at it and saw the woman run out the house and then the next thing that came out of the house was her husband who’s holding a gun! And the nightmare that she dreamed already came into her mind as if it was happening again!

            It made her scared because she knew that he would fire it to his wife and she didn’t want to witness it nor be a victim of that man! So, she decided to hurry to get in but the woman saw her and run through her. She’s got in panic so she run through her door mostly when she saw that the husband already fired up his gone. And the wife already falls down the ground and when she looks back at the husband! She saw him, he was looking at her and because she’s scared of him. It was so fast that she didn’t even realize that it was so sudden that the man look at her angrily and shouted on her! She was too afraid and didn’t know what to think or do! She tried finding her key that falls down the ground when he heard him saying…

            “You saw it!” he shouted angrily and then a second gun shot would be heard at that night…

           

            It is my end now? She asked in between loosing conscious then suddenly before her eyes close. She saw a woman standing in front of her, and it was so mysterious that she thought that she already saw this woman somewhere before. But she couldn’t remember where it was. And after that, darkness filled her eyes and her body and soul felt so dump and so light! She’s seeing a path of light but she refuses to come or even pass through with it! Because all she wanted was to stay alive and live for long as she can!

Line Three: Déjà vu!

            Info:

·         Déjà vu – the experience of thinking that a new situation had occurred before something that you’ve already gone, done or see.

            At exact five in the morning, Ms. Rachel Johnson wake up early to prepare her self to go at her office. But this time around, she felt like… things were already been happened! She couldn’t explain why or what was she’s feeling right at that moment but there was something on that day that she couldn’t figure it out! And whatever it was, she didn’t want to know or to see!

            “Good morning, Ms. Johnson!” her secretary greeted before she get in to her office. She stops and look at her as if she already knew what would be the next situation would happen. She’s standing there for long when her secretary notices it and asks her. “Are you alright, Ms. Johnson?” her secretary asked her worriedly.

            “Ah!” she holds her head and massages it a bit. “I… I’m just fine!” she said and walks towards her office.

            Her secretary followed her in the inside. “What do you want to drink, Ms. Johnson?”

            She looks at her and, “Nothing!” she answered. “Just gave me my schedule for this day and that would be all!” she said in a tone of command.

            “Yes, Ms. Johnson!” her secretary said and opens her notes of her schedules. “You have a meeting with Mr. Brown at nine in morning. After that, you have a launch meeting with Mr. and Mrs. Clinton and at three in the aft–––”

            “Stop!” she said while her hand raise at the sky signing her to stop. But why?! She asked her self silently when she noticed what was she done! Maybe because, she felt so strange that she already been heard all those details and she already done those things before. Well, as far as she remembers, her life when she started handling her own company was always been like that! So how come that she felt so strange right at this moment of time!? She felt like, it was the same things, place and happenings that already been done and it was only repeated! It’s like… “Déjà vu!” she said it loud and clear.

            “Ms. Johnson?”

            She opens her eyes and that was the time she noticed her self that she’s in the midst of thinking. “I’m sorry!” the only words that she could say right at that moment. And by looking at her secretary, it seems she’s beginning looks weird onto her. “What was your saying, Elise?” she asked in a serious tone.

            “Ah…” she pause a bit then, “Eng. Rodriguez would come here at three in the afternoon to show you the site.” She said.

            “Okay! Just inform me about my schedules.” She said in a final tone. “Go, ahead, back to your place now.” She said when she noticed that Elise was still there looking at her worriedly but she kept quiet and didn’t ask anything about it.

            She heard her sighs. “Okay! I’ll live you alone, Ms. Johnson.” And then she came out of her office and that was the time she rest her head at the back of her swivel chair and massage it with her hands. She felt her head was too heavy to carry that she couldn’t explain why it was happening or why she thought about the word “déjà vu”!? It was a big mystery for her part and she couldn’t figure it out that made her more wondering…

            After an hour of working that morning, before the time turns at nine in the morning she receive a call from her dear sister Raquel. And it turns out that she already had an idea what would her sister going to say to say so, she immediately answered it without letting her talk.

            “I couldn’t come early at the party, Raquel.” she said.

            “Oh, no! You’ve already knew why I call!” she said in a surprise tone.

            “A bit!” she simply answered.

            “It only means that, you’ve remember about it!” she said so gladly as if it was her first time that she remembered a special occasion that no one telling her earlier about it. Well, as far as she remembers, it was really her first time to remember about a special occasion like that! Note! No one gave her that idea she just knew it would happened!

            “What so shock about it, Raquel?” she asked straight.

            “Of course! It was shocking! Really one!” her sister exclaimed. “And I think, Vicky would be very glad once she would know that you’ve finally remembered a special occasion without no once concern!”

            “Vicky was here!?” she asked surprisingly and she just ignores the other words that she said to her. Because all her ears focus to one word, the name “Vicky”!

            Vicky was the only person that she knew she wouldn’t let her live even if she’s too busy to her works. She was the only friend that she has and because of it, she entitled her as her best friend forever! She was the only one that she left that could understand her situation! The one and only person would be at her side in despite of her defectiveness in her life!

            “Indeed!” her sister answered her that brought her back at the reality. “And she’ll be happy seeing you here! So, come here even if you’re late! Okay!” her sister said in a final tone. “Bye now!” and the phone already cut off without letting her to ask how Vicky was. Because she remembered, her best friend left the country without seeing her because she’s too busy at that time. And all that she knew, Vicky was mad at her because of that so, how come that Raquel told her that Vicky would be glad seeing her to be there? It was a huge puzzle for her! But she couldn’t answer it if she would not come at the party on that day!

            “Are you fine, Rachel?” he asked when he saw her alone at the office.

            They were at the site and she chooses to take a rest before going home and besides she was too exhausted at that day and didn’t knew why she felt like that! As if, she beginning to unlike all the things that she’s been doing. But still she couldn’t refuse not to do it or else, it would ruin everything that she already been achieved! She takes a deep, deep breath and then looks at the outside when her phone rings and she just look at it.

            “I think you should answer it, Rachel.” Jorge broke her silence.

            She looks at him. “I already knew who’s calling me.” she said. “I think I should get going.” She added and stands up.

            “I’ll take you home.” He answered. “And besides, I was the one who brought you here so, pack your things and I’ll wait for you at the outside. Okay!”

            “Ah, Jorge!” he looks at her. “Can you please, just bring me back at my office? I think… it’s better if I drive my own car back to my house.” She said.

            “But you would be very tired if you do that.” He commented worriedly and she already why. He is a thoughtful person even though she already busted him for a couple of times. But still, he would always be there at her side whenever she’ll be needed a friend.

            She smiles on that thought and, “I’ll be fine, Jorge! And besides, I’m not going at my own house. This day was the wedding anniversary of my parents and they done a party for my mother that be held at her house. So, I need to be there for this day even if it’s too late for me to come.”

            He looks on her. “Why you didn’t say so, Rachel!” he said. “Now, I’m blaming my self here.”

            “Don’t!” she said. “It was my choice to be at the site. And besides, my family knew about my duties at the company. So, there’s nothing to worry about and don’t ever blame you self, Jorge.”

            He looks at her seriously and sighs deep. “If only you can take some time to live your company–––’’

            “That I can’t!” she cut him off. “You knew how hard it was when I left the company behind.” She added.

            “Well, at least! Make your own vacation! Besides, you’re the boss, remember!?”

            She laughs a bit. “Anyways, can we go now?” she asked so that their conversation would end up.

            “You’ve never been change, Rachel!” he commented. “Anyways, let’s go! If you were ready?” and he looks at her.

            She nodded and smiled. “Indeed! I’m ready!” she said and they came out together at the office went straight at his car.

            Her car was the basement of her company so Jorge brought her there near at her car. Jorge came out of his car to open up the door of his car at her side and takes her to her own car.

            “Thanks for taking me here.” she said with a smile on her face.

            “It’s my pleasure!” he said.

            “Go on! You should go home early so that you may take a long rest for today. I knew how tiring this day for you.” she said.

            “Okay! Take care driving!”

            “Yeah! You too! Bye!”

            “Bye!” and he wave his hand before he went inside his car and drive it away from her. When she left alone and looking at the tail lights of Jorge’s car that was the time she felt something strange that she couldn’t explain what was it or why she’s feeling like that for an hours ago! It seems that, there was something wrong and she couldn’t do anything about it.

            “Ah!” she hissed. “I should get going!” she said and went inside her car and drives it out of the basement. One of her guards nodded at her before she left the building and her way out. She saw a commotion near at her building, at was she sees. It was a guy fight at the street that she scared off so, she was hoping that the traffic light won’t stop because it would be nearer to her. But, the light starts to move in the red light and before she could stop her car a gun shot would be heard from the outside and the next thing she knew… another gun shot was release towards her because of the guys tried to get it from the one who shot it but it turns out! It was pointing at her place and all that she saw was a woman! Once again, a woman looks so mysterious appears in her eyes! And slowly, she began loosing her life…

            Staring on it feels free

            Though feelings not sure to flee

            Still holding back on time that tight…

            She wake up at exact five in the morning while holding her chest and catching up her breath. As if, she came from a long run that she couldn’t find the end of it. She was just hoping to see the bottom when she felt the lightness that she couldn’t explain! As if, it was the time to feel free and flee through out this world!

            A thought of it made her shivered in fear because she already knew what would that means. And she doesn’t want that to happen though she already knew that their lives would soon be end still, it wasn’t her time to go. It wasn’t the right time for her to die!

            She saw her secretary and as what she thought first, Elise greeted her with a simple smile and she just nodded onto her. She went quickly on her office room and immediately sat down to her swivel chair because she felt so tired and dumps! She couldn’t explain it because it was too weird for her to felt so heavy from the inside through the outside while on her dreams. She felt so light, so free, and so happy? Then, a big question hit her mind! Why does she felt like that!

            She closes her eyes and holds her head with her hands and massages it to make it more relax. When her secretary asks her in a worry tone that made her back from the reality.

            “Are you alright, Ms. Johnson?”

            She looks at her. “I… I’m alright!” she said and rests her head at the back of her swivel chair. “It was just,” she paused. “Never mind!” she said. “Just gave me my schedule for today, Elise!”

            “But, Ms. Johnson!” her secretary stares at her. “I think you’ve better go home.” She suggested.

            She looks at her wondering. “Why?”

            “Ahm, it was because you look pale Ms. Johnson.”

            “Wha–––’’ she was about to say something when the world of her began to spin like a roller coaster and before she knew it! She already lost her consciousness and darkness filled her eyes!

            Struggling for acceptance

            Fighting into something,

            That needed to be dance

            Before it turns out into nothing…

            She’s finally woke up after loosing her consciousness and the first person that she saw was her secretary,

            “Elise?” she looks around and she already knew that she’s inside their clinic. “What, happened?” she asked in between gasping.

            “You faint at the office so we brought you here.” Elise answered her.

            “I faint…” she just parroted and then she remembered something. “What time it is?” she asked worriedly.

            “It’s passed nine in the morning.” She answered.

            “What!” she exclaimed. “God! I have a meeting at Mr. Brown!” she said when she remembered what was Elise told her earlier but it was a surprised when she saw Elise face. “What?” she asked wondering.

            “I’m sorry, Ms. Johnson but I’m not yet telling you about your schedule this morning.” She explained.

            “Ha? What–––’’ she paused when she remembered that Elise was right about it! She didn’t hear a single thing about the schedule for this day! Oh, no! What was happening to me! She asked silently to her self.

            “But, it was alright now Ms. Johnson! I already talked with him earlier that I would just reschedule your meeting with him soon you’ll get better.” She said that she just nodded. “And about the meeting at the launch time, I would call up Mr. and Mrs. Clinton that–––’’

            “No!” she cut her off. “I’ll take it!” she said.

            “But Ms. Johnson, the doctor told me that you need to take a rest!”

            She looks at her. “I’ll be fine, Elise!” she said. “I was a bit tired and sleepless that all! But nevertheless, I can make it to my other appointments. Let me take some time to rest and that’s all I needed. Okay!” she said in a final tone.

            Her secretary stares at her in a worry look but she just keep quiet and, “Okay! If that’s what you want… I think I should live you here alone now.” she just said and agreed.

            She smiles on her. “I’ll be fine, Elise! There’s nothing to worry about, okay!”

            “Okay!” she stands up and, “I’ll live you now and don’t worry about your works! I’ll take care of it!” she said and smiled on her.

            “I knew you can!” she answered. “And thank you for everything, Elise!” she added.

            “It’s my pleasure to help you, Ms. Johnson!” she said and live the room afterwards. When she’s left alone she felt something or it was more of someone was staring at her intently. She felt her hair in her skin stands in trembling and she felt that the stare passed through to her soul! She tried to look and find it but all she could see was the white curtain that playing around the wind that enters the window.

            It was so mysterious that the air from the outside wasn’t that strong that may able to blow the curtains. Then, she saw a white lace of a woman and before she saw who was it she felt that someone stands at her side that she felt shivered all over her body! As if she’s with someone else that didn’t belong in this world and she look at it slowly and…

            A screamed my heard inside the clinic and as fast as the doctor and the nurse came inside. Rachel gone out so quickly at the clinic the reason why she fall down the ground and the doctor and the nurse help her up at that the ground.

            “What happened, Ms. Johnson?” the doctor asked her.

            But because she’s too scared of what she saw, she couldn’t say any words as if her throat was left inside the clinic. And she couldn’t even imagine how she came out of the clinic while she already freezes out to fear!

            “Oh, my God!” the nurse spoke up with her. “You’re bleeding!”

            “What–––’’ she felt something pain on her chest and when she look at it! She’s really in bleeding and she remembered the woman that she saw at the clinic. It was the same spot where she saw the woman bleeding! And she now remembered who was it and it was…

           

            Person has its end

            No one can stop it,

            Nor change it intend

            Still comes in time at bit…

            She wake up by someone and when she looks at it she saw the nurse and she was about to say something when the nurse ask her.

            “Are you alright now, Ms. Johnson?” she asked calmly.

            She looks at her wondering and then, “Oh, my God!” she said while holding her chest that bleeds earlier. “What happened to my wound?” she asked nervously.

            “Ha? What was your talking about Ms. Johnson?” she asked surprisingly.

            “What!” she looked at her. “I was bleeding earlier! Don’t you remember?”

            “No, Ms. Johnson!” she answered. “You were just sleeping here for a while when Elise left you alone. And when I came here you were mumbling that’s why I tried to wake you up.” She explained.

            “But…” she paused and looks at the window beside her and saw the white sky. “I… I was just… nothing! I’m sorry!” she said.

            “I think you should take some rest, Ms. Johnson! And besides, that’s all you need for today!” she added.

            She just nodded at her and afterwards, she was left alone and she was just staring at the outside when she heard someone come in inside. When she looks at back to see who it was, she saw the doctor that she knew.

            “Good day, Ms. Johnson!” he greeted her with a smile.

            She smiled back at him. “I’m glad to see you, Dr. Drake!” she said.

            “I’m glad to see you awake and fine now, Ms. Johnson!” he answered back. “So, how’s your feeling now?” he asked afterwards and check her pulse.

            “I think I’m fine now!” she said.

            “Glad to hear that!” he said. “Well, you can now back at your office. Elise told me that you’re still going at the launch meeting even though she already told you not too!”

            She just smiles on it. “Thank you, Dr. Drake! But I was so sure that I am fine now!” and she remembered someone else. “And… please gave my thanks to you nurse! She was a good he–––’’

            “What?” he looks at her surprisingly. “A nurse, Ms. Johnson?” she just nodded. “But, I was the only one who’s been here since you came in here!”

            “What! But!” she couldn’t say anything, she was just scared and nothing else.

            “It was the truth, Ms. Johnson! I’m the only one in here!” he said…

Line Five: Thin Line!

            Info:

           

·         Thin Line – literally means “thin” not great in diameter or cross section and “line” a thin continuous mark. But to make further deep means: “Thin Line” is… an unseen line between life and death, and a normal human couldn’t see it nor be able to look for it.

            She still couldn’t believe what she heard from Dr. Drake and she was stunned for an hour before she finally makes it through and went back at her office. Even though the doctor said to her that she needed to get some rest, she just refuses it and return immediately to her office room. She needed to leave that place so that she wouldn’t remember the things that happened at the clinic. And besides, she needs to prepare for her launch meeting with Mr. and Mrs. Clinton. And she also decided to go early at the site so she just called up earlier Engr. Jorge Enriquez.

            She’s driving when she receive a call from her sister Raquel. This morning, Elise was the one accepted the call from her sister and eventually she already knew why was she’s calling. She just forgets to call her to inform that she’s fine and now going at the site even though she doesn’t feel so well that she couldn’t explain why or what was it!

            She takes a deep breath before she answered that call. “Hello!” she answered it.

            “Hey! How are you, sis?!” she asked straight. “Are you alright?! Elise told me about it and I was too worried about you and waited for your call. But you didn’t even called up so I decided to call you up now! So, what happened? Are you sure you’re alright now? I didn’t even tell to Mom because I knew she would be very worry if she knew it! And besides, it’s Mom and Dad’s anniversary and I didn’t want to ruin her special day where she may able to remember our Dad! So, what?! God, I was–––’’

            “Raquel!” immediately cut her off before she couldn’t speak nor talk a single word because she knew her sister very well. If she starts talking, mostly when she’s too worried, she wouldn’t stop talking till you may able to tired of her litany.

            “What?” she heard her asked and she sighs first before she answered her.

            “I wouldn’t have a chance to answer all your questions if I didn’t interrupt. It’s too much absorb don’t you know!” she answered.

            “Well, I was too worried and you couldn’t do anything about it Rachel” she said.

            “And I really appreciate it, Raquel!” she said sincerely. “And I am fine now Raquel so there’s nothing to worry about! The truth, I’m on my way at the site and–––’’ her sister cut her off.

            “What!” she said. “But–––’’

            “Will you please listen to me first, Raquel!” she ordered in serious tone that made her sister to keep quiet and listen to her. “Good! Now! I’m just fine, I was just… I… I woke up this morning with a bad dream that made me feels sick and tired. That’s the reason why I look pale and sick when I got at the office. So, I apologize I make you worry and I promise that I’ll be there at the party. Tell Mom about it and…” she paused when she remembered one thing.

            “And…” her sister spoke up her last word.

            She sighs before she continues. “I… I wanted to ask you about Vicky?” she asked dubiously.

            “Oh! Vicky!” she parroted. “She’s already here and she was invited at our Mom’s party because she was the one who invited her to be here. And she wanted to see and talk with you! And I knew that you two misses each other, it’s been years since you’ve talk, am I right?” she said and asked.

            “Yeah!” she said and sighs deep. “Anyways, I’ll be there at the house soon I finish my works at the site. I promise to get there even though I’ll be late. Would that be alright?” she simply asked her.

            She heard her laughs a bit. “I already knew it! You’ve never change!” she said meaningfully. “Anyways, I was glad that you’re alright now! As far as what I heard from you, and where would you going right at this time. I must say, you’re back to your own selves now.” She said.

            “Hay! Raquel, you’ve sounded like I was doing a great sin here in this world!” she commented.

            “Well, if being a workaholic was a sin! I think you were right about it!” she said and laughs about it.

            She smiles on it. “Okay fine! I am a workaholic!” she answered. “I had to hang up now, Raquel! I was already here at the site. I need to go on to work now, Raquel! You knew it already my dear sister!”

            Raquel just laughs about it. “Okay! Just call me up soon you’ll be coming here!” she said instead.

            She secretly sighs deep and then she smiles even though her sister didn’t see her. “Alright! I’ll call you up soon I’ll get there!” she said. “I really have to go now, sis!” she added and saw one of her Engineers.

            “Okay! I understand!” she said and, “bye, sis! And take care!” she added.

            “Thanks! Bye!” and she cut off her phone then she sighs deep and compose her self before getting out of her car and talks with one of her Engineers.

            As what she already thought first, what ever did her saw at her dream were the same things that happens from her reality. She began to make meetings with all the workers at her site. But the only difference was that Engr. Jorge Rodriguez was a little bit late at their site because he needed to go back at his office to get the envelop that he left before going at the site. Then afterwards, she and Engr. Rodriguez went out of the office and look at the building that they were building. She checks all the possibilities that may able to help to make it more improve than ever.

           

            Afterwards, she stares at her wrist watch and notice that the time was already been eight in the evening.

            “Oh, no!” she exclaimed. “I am late!” she said.

            “For what?” Jorge asked her surprisingly.

            “Oh! Sorry, I didn’t tell you about it!” she answered. “It’s my parents’ anniversary and my family decided to make a surprised party for our Mom! And if you were not busy, you can come with me! My Mom would be glad seeing you there and I think Vicky would also be glad if she sees you.” she added.

            “What! Vicky was here!?” he asked gladly that she just nodded. Because Jorge was part of their group of friends the reason why he knew Vicky and besides those two were really close. They were just like a true siblings that at first she got a little bit jealous but nevertheless she already through with it! Besides, Vicky is her best friend ever since!

            “So, are you coming with me?” she asked afterwards.

            “Of course!” he said immediately that she laughs a bit. “I’ll come with you! So, what we will going to use? My car or your car?” he asked when he remembered that she brought her own car with her.

            “I think it’s better if we use your car!” she answered.

            “Oh! Okay!” he said. “So, shall we go now?”

            She nodded and, “Yes! Let’s go now!” she said and ready her self.

            Breaking things at the right place

            Would make things worse than ever,

Crashing down the right balance

            That would destroy things forever…

            She already heard that voice for a couple of times and still, she didn’t know where it came from. She wanted to find it but she couldn’t as if the voice was from within. Beyond from everything in this world…

            “Hey! Are you alright?” Jorge asked her when he noticed her.

            “Ha!” she exclaimed. “Ah… I’m just fine! Ahm…” she saw a mini stop. “Can we stop there for just a while? I just buy drinks.” She said.

            “Okay! Sure!” he said and smiled at her.

            Jorge stops his car at the car park of the store and she came out at the car with him. She went inside and went straight at the refrigerator to get some drinks. She was about to find a bottle of juice when she heard the voice once again and that time! She saw a thin line of light that she couldn’t remember where she sees it! And…

            You may escape first

            You may run from it,

            Still it would not last

            Soon you’ll be in fit…

            “Hands in the air!” shouted by someone that made her back at the reality and when she looks at it she saw people with a mask on their faces. That was the time that she notice that the place was rob by the robbers and they were all had a guns! That she scared of!

            “Oh, my God! Where’s Jorge?” she said and search for him and she finally found him standing at the back of one of the robbers. And before she knew it, Jorge tried to pull out the gun at the hand of the robber but one of the bad guys shot the gun onto him.

            She screamed because of it and run through with him because Jorge already falls down the ground. And the next thing that happens was too fast! The other costumers fight against the three robbers and also the one who’s taking care of the cashier releases a gun at his cabinet and fired it up at the one robber who’s in his side. And then, suddenly another gun fire heard inside the store and she thought it would be her last day but it won’t because the third one fell down the ground while the other runs off the store. She saw it with her eyes but she also saw that he shot another one that hits her place! And suddenly, warm and fresh bloods easily flow down through her chest as if it was happening once again! Then, she saw her once more…

            She heard it once more but this time it was clearer than before so, she tried opening her eyes. When she finally opens up her eyes, she saw a very thin line of light that she already been seen before. But she couldn’t explain why or how it did happened! As if she already been there for a couple of times but still couldn’t figure it out! She closes her eyes once more and thinks that she’s just dreaming and it wasn’t happening to her! But the voice tried to wake her up and it soothes her soul the reason why she opens her eyes and look for that voice.

                 

            Open your eyes

            Lift it up to me,

            Look into my eyes

            And see the truth of me…

            That was she heard from her so she look back and saw a woman that she’s always seeing for a couple of times. It was the same girl that puzzled her mind and soul! She wanted to be scared of her but she couldn’t and she doesn’t know why?!

            “Who are you?” she asked without opening her mouth, she just talk to her mind as if she already knew that she would be heard by her.

            She saw her smiles and…

            Balancing the two different kinds

            Standing in the middle still,

            Making those two easy to binds

            That makes a strong holds like hill…

            She knew that she could understand what was she’s saying still she wanted to further more the words that she wanted to hear.

            The woman stares at her intently. “I knew that you have lots of questions in your head. But I knew that whatever you’ve wanted to ask has already been answered.” She said with full of meaning.

            She got confused on what was she told her. “What do you mean by that?” she asked and, “who you really are?” she repeats what she just asked first.

            She just stares at her and walk away with her that she surprised off.

            “Hey! Where your going?!” she asked but the woman still continues walking and before she gone to her sight she decided to follow to her.

            The path as it looks was too thin to walk through but they still manage to walk onto it. She just followed the “path of light” while looking all over the place but it seems that the whole place covers only a dark colours. She find it dull and empty as if she couldn’t stay longer in that place and all that she wanted to do was went back to her world and…

            “You’ve already done that.” The woman spoke so calmly that made her to stop thinking and look onto her.

            “What?” she asked curiously.

            Breaking rules at once

            May able to forgive,

            But repeating it once

            Was too much to forgive…

            She looks at her clueless. “You’ve already been here for a couple of times, Rachel.” She said that made her more clueless and surprised of what she just heard from her.

            “Ho-how did you kno-know my name?” she asked almost mumbles because of what she starting to feel.

            She intently looks at her. “As I said to you… you’ve already been here at the “thin line”… but you’ve been escape for almost four times that troubles the balance of life and death.”

            “Troubles the balance of life and death?” she parroted and, “I don’t understand what was your saying!” she answered her in a loud tone almost wanted to scream.

            Why? Because she starting to feel scared and horrified because she starting to know what was she was trying to say. And she didn’t like the idea about it that made her self shivered just a thought of it!

            “I want to go now!” she commanded and looks around to find an escape.

            “Don’t do that again. You’ve only worsen the balance.” She said.

            “I don’t care!” she screamed on her. “I wanted to get out of here! Now!” she screamed it to her loudly and tries to find the way out of there.

            “You’ve just worsen it, Rachel.” She said but she just shout on her to “Shut up!” but the woman didn’t mind it and continues what was she wanted to say. “You may only sacrifice more lives when you try to get back to a life that wasn’t yours anymore. And the balance of life and death may able to worsen much more and it would be very difficult to put it in order.”

            “I don’t care! And I don’t believe in you!” she screamed. “All I wanted was to get back to my life… to my world… and nothing else! So, please! Let go of me!” she almost begged and tries to find the way out of there.

            The woman just stares on her and…

            Facing truth was hard to face

            But the truth would set you free,

            Try to accept it with full of grace

            That gives hope and glee...

            “Nooooo!” she screamed it out loud and run out through that place. She was just running without any directions where to go! She didn’t even care if she’s getting tired and loosing up breath. Because all that she wanted to do was escape from that place and stay away from that woman that she manages to know who it was! It was the “Angel of Death” and it made her more scared! She just wanted to run out of that place and run through the other side where she knew she may able to go back to her world of living…

           

            Life was the beginning

            That turns to a long journey,

            Death was the ending

            That brought to never ending valley…

            If beginning may easy to accept

            Easy to hug and hold it tight,

            Ending is a hard one to adapt

            Hard to let go and tries to fight…

            Though it would still come

            No need to hunt to capture,

            ‘Cause it would come in time

            And death would come so assure…

            She heard those words that the woman spoke to her before she came back to her world. She slowly opens her eyes and notice her alarm clock ringing for a long minutes of time. She closes her eyes tightly and opens it once more just to make sure that she’s just having a night mare once more! And she’s still alive as what she already knew from the start! Still in the same place, same works, same routines that she already knew for a long years.

            She finally decided to come up to her bed and prepared her self going to her office. From there, even if she knew that it were the same situations that she already been experienced. She still continued her life without changing it because she knew to her self that either way. She wouldn’t be able to escape the fate that she’s already been escaped for almost four times! And she didn’t know if she could still escape from that place that she’s been through. Together with the woman who just stands in there at the middle of nowhere. Staring through the deepest of her soul…

            At past eight in the evening she receives a call from her sister telling that she was already late. And her sister forces her to be there for at least ten minutes or even less. Just to make their mom glad seeing her being there and just like that she agree to come so she decided to let Jorge drive along with her. She invited him to come with her and she makes sure that they would not be able to pass in any gasoline station. Why? Maybe, she was so scared that she would saw him die. She doesn’t want to see it or even witness it once more!

            A given life has its limits

            Limits that you wouldn’t stop,

            Even change its orbits

            Still life would end till its drop…

            At the fifth times of her death, two important people were lost into her life…

            Two lives that sacrifices the place that she’s been running off…

            A place that she’s already been belongs…

            A place of once who’s been in resting…

A HARD ONE

There are things we couldn’t know

Things that hard to explain,

Couldn’t see the real things how

Even to think are harder to complain.

Though help may able to ask

But it’s hard to speak it up,

A difficult word to be a task

A task would be hard to wind-up.

Harder than to speak and to show

Still in the midst of knowing,

Having a hard time to see beyond shadow

Until the edge come flowing.

            A path of light… she said while looking at the thin line. She was just there, floating at nowhere. And she was just staring at the light when she saw the woman standing in front of her. Her head was on an upside down position so she lifts up her head and stand straight on her front.

            “What now?” she asked matter-of-factly.

            She stares on her then, “you have to accept the truth, Rachel.” She just simply answered.

            She scoffed. “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t him! He did this to me!” she said with bitterness on her voice.

            “A hard one…” she just said then she lost at her sight.

            “What!” she got surprised on it and she tried to find her but she couldn’t and she scream out loud that may able to crash or brake a glass. She was so desperate to live and live her life to the fullest but how could she do that when her time was already run out! That made her more furious to stay much longer in the land of living! Then, “I won’t easily give up my life! You couldn’t do anything about it! You have nothing to with it!” she shouted it out loud while catching up her breath.

            “Then, more lives would replace your death at the living world.” The voice said to her but she just ignores it and run at the opposite side of the path way. She was about to come back once more at the living world… where she may able to live and stay alive much longer…

            Five o’clock in the morning…

            Once again she’s awake at the same time and same routine that she’s always been doing. But the only different on this day on! The day and the date was still the same from the very beginning when she run and escapes out of the thin line.

            And if before, she would easily wake up and prepared her own breakfast while she would also prepared her own suits to wear at the office. Then prepared her things that she needed to brought at the office and ready her car and drive it on her way at the office.

            But at that moment in time, she was too lazy to stand up to her bed and she was there just looking at the ceiling while thinking nothing! She felt… nothing! As if, her body and soul wasn’t one anymore! Couldn’t find each other either didn’t know each other! It became… total strangers!

            After an hour of staring at the ceiling and not even thinking she already get up to her bed and ready her self to go at her company. Start her day as what she always done to her life…

           

            As what she expected, her secretary greeted her, followed her inside her office, asked her secretary about her schedules at that day though. She already knew what it would be still she was surprised when her sister called her up and told her that Vicky will be there at the party.

            She takes a deep breath when someone knocks on her door and she let it enter.

            “Problem?” a baritone voice asked that made her eyes opens.

            She smiles on him. “Nothing!” she answered. “Anyway let’s go?”

            “Yeah!” he said and smiled then, “Can we use one car? I mean, it would me more easy for us to come early at the site.” He asked and explained.

            “Yes!” she agreed. “It’s much better if you use one car. That was I wanted to say to you. And besides, I want to end up early our meeting at the site.” She added.

            “Why?”

            “Well, my sister called me earlier that they going to make a small party for our mom’s anniversary. Though, our dad wasn’t here anymore still she wanted to make a party for our mom. And she wants me to be there…” she said and, “and I think you should come along with me. Vicky was already here and she also wants to see me.”

            “Really!” he gladly said. “Well, I won’t refuse on your over! I’ll come with you!”

            “I thought of it!” she said. “Anyway let’s go!”

            “Yeah! And I hope we could finish it as much as we can.”

            “Of course we can!” she said. “I will do anything just to make it done as much as I can!” she added in a serious tone.

            He looks at her with an emphatic stare and she got a little conscious on it.

            “Hey! What’s that for?!” she called his attention and stares mean at him.

            He just laughs about it and, “I just couldn’t believe that the mighty Rachel finally take some time for her family even if your too busy in your works.” He said.

            She snobs him and went first out the door and didn’t even bothered to look back at him. She didn’t even answered or commented to what he just said to her. Why? Well, it was also a big surprised for her part because it was her first time that she wanted to finish an important meeting just to make up to her family gathering. Because Jorge knew her so well that even if that person is too important with her still she would always takes care first her works than to her friends or family. The reason why her one and only best friend Vicky got sulk on her and it’s been a year since they didn’t get in touch.

            Now that Vicky came back, she just wanted to see and talk to her at once. She wanted to say sorry, just sorry, no explanations to say… just sorry…

            She sighs deep before she talks again. “So, let’s start our day now!” she said gladly.

            “Okay! Let’s go now!” and he handed his hand to her that she accepted and went out of the office together with him.

            At eight in the evening, she and Jorge finally finish the meetings and inspection at site. So, she decided to ask him to come with him early so that they would still have lots of time to spend with her family and to Vicky.

            “You’re in a hurry, ha!” Jorge commented on her with a smile.

            She smiles back at him. “Well, I am missing my family and Vicky too! That’s why I want to hurry up immediately.”

            “Okay!” he said. “Let’s just settle things out!” he added.

            “Yeah!” she agreed and readies her things immediately.

            She receives a call from her sister Raquel and it surprises her because as far as she remembers, it didn’t happen. Well, since she forces to escape and run through her supposed to be death things were never been the same!

            “Hey! Why you call?” she asked.

            “I can’t start my car!” she complaints. “Can you fetch me up here?”

            Her sister knew that she and Jorge would be there at the party because she texted her first before coming there. “Okay! Where were you?” she asked her place than asking her why she’s not there at the party.

           

            “Why you’re here in the first place, Raquel?” she asked when they already fetch her up. It happens that she’s in the middle of nowhere, stock alone in the road.

            “I went at my friends’ house. I just drive her way back home but eventually when I was going back at our house my car stock at the road. And I won’t be able to start it even if I check out the engine of it.”

            “How about the fuel?” she asked.

            “It’s not yet empty.” She said.

            “Let just wait for the call of the car repair. Mostly this time, the tool truck would be there to take it at the car shop.” Jorge commented.

            “Well, I agree to you!” Raquel answered.

            “Okay!” she said. “It’s a good idea!” she added.

            “Hey! Wait!” Raquel spoke up.

            “What?” she asked.

            “Let’s stop at that store for a while.” She said.

            “But why? We were almost there, Raquel.”

            “Well, I’m already thirsty so please Jorge… can we stop for just a while?” she pleaded to him and before she knew it, he agrees to it and went straight at the store. She didn’t know why she felt so nervous and when she looks at the time, it’s almost...

            She spoke to her mind when she stares at her wrist watch and it seems that she had this feeling that she wouldn’t want to see once more…

            “Hey! Rachel!” Raquel called her attention that made her back at the reality.

            “What?!” she asked irritably.

            “Calm down sis! I just asking you what did you want to order?” she said.

            “What!”

            “Yes, Rachel! She’s asking you for almost a minute but I think you were in a deep thinking so she shouted on you to make you awake.” Jorge explained and base on what he just said. She’s been out for a while in a minute meaning…

            Eight fifty eight! That’s what she saw at her wrist watch that made her more nervous. “Oh! God!” she exclaimed that she couldn’t stop.

            “Hey!” Jorge noticed her. “Are you alright?” he asked worriedly then.

            “Yeah! Sis! Are you alrig–––’’

            “Just get your order, Raquel!” she said to cut her off. “So that, we may able to reach at home early.” She added while searching all over the place as if someone or something would happen if they didn’t reach their destination.

            “But, Rachel I don–––’’

            “Don’t bother me Raquel! Just got that damn order and live this place immediately!” she said in almost mad tone.

            “Just do as what she said, Raquel.” Jorge commented and she heard Raquel sighs so deep and then she faces back at the take out window she… she couldn’t explained the fear that striking in to her heart and soul. As if, things would be at the right place once more and she wouldn’t stop it nor try changing it until…

            “I had all the order!” Raquel announced.

            “Then, let’s hurry up! Let’s go!” she said still freaking out and panicking.

            “Hey! Relax!” Jorge said.

            “Yeah! Relax, sis!” Raquel agreed.

            “I’m just fine, Jorge. Raquel.” She answered but still in fear. “Let’s just got out of here and…” she paused for a while to think of the right words to say then, “and I think mom would be very worried to us.”

            “Okay!” Jorge commented. “I’ll drive now!”

            “Thanks, Jorge!” she said and smiled at him though fear was still on her face even if she already forces her self not to worry. Still, she felt so nervous and freaking out!

            On their way out of the store, someone block at their way and it wasn’t only one person! They were five guys running through their car and before they knew it one the guys pointed the gun at Jorge and…

            “Get out of that car now!” he ordered with an authority while the gun pointed to his head.

            “God! Please! Let us live!” Raquel pleaded on the guy.

            “We’ve just need a car and–––’’ he stops in the mid sentence when they all heard the siren of the police patrol.

            “Fu–––shit!” one of the bad guys exploded. “Make him out of there before they catches us!” he shouted on the guy who’s pointing the gun to Jorge.

            “Get out of there now!” he shouted out loud.

            She pulled his polo and, “let’s go, Jorge! Please! Let them have your car before we got into trouble.” She pleaded.

            “But–––’’

            “No buts! Just let them have your car!” Raquel commented at the back sit.

            “Okay!” he said and looks at the bad guy. “I’ll give you my key and my car just let us live free.” He said in a calm voice.

            “Okay! Just–––’’

            But before the bad guy finish his words a gun shot fired at one of its buddy and it came from the police men who was now at their way out. They all been ready to fire up once more but one of the bad guys shot at them and the next thing happens! He came at the side of Jorge and pulled him out of there and shot him to his dead that made them scream out loud!

            “Fu––– why did you do that!?”

            “Damn it! Let it be! We don’t have much time to chitchat on him! Hey, you two come here and let’s run now!” he ordered the other two guys while them…

            “Sis!” Raquel reaches her hand but the bad guy notice it and before she hold onto her! The guy shot Raquel that end up her life!

            “Noooo!” she screamed. “Fu––– you!” she said it loud at her and before she knew it! The gun pointed at her and shot through her heart that stops her heart beating! And the last thing that she heard was the raining of fire that she didn’t knew where it came from… if it was from the bad guys or from the good guys… Well, it doesn’t matter with her because she’s already dead but she couldn’t accept the true fact that she didn’t even sacrifice one life but there are lot’s of lives has been sacrifice just to bring her life back in this mortal world…

            PAST

            “You really love and like being with your father, didn’t you Rachel?” Vicky asked her that made him stop what was she’s doing.

            She looks at her seriously then she smiled at her. “Well, it was true! I admired him so much that I–––’’

            “You’ve also wanted to achieve too!” she commented matter-of-factly.

            She nodded and then goes back at her works. She’s been working at her fathers’ company for almost two months. She decided to work their before her graduation so if she would count it together it means that she been there for almost a months now. Ten months to be exact! And working at his fathers’ company, makes her more easily to know the things that needed to make it stronger than ever. That’s why her father already handed her some important things on her hand after she graduated. And she easily had done it without any problem! The reason she got into the highest position so easily even if she’s still young to handle a hard situation.

            “So, it means that you would be very busy on your job now?” she asked in an irritated tone but she just ignore it.

            “Well, maybe!” she said truly.

            “For God sake, Rachel!” she exclaimed. “It’s my wedding that we were talking about!”

            “Oh!” the only word that she spoke off. Why? Because she already forgotten about it! Well, she had her own excuses that may able to explain why she didn’t even remember it! But the big question was… would she cared to accept it as an excuse? I think she would not accept it! She answered to her own self.

            “Is that all you’ve going to say?” she asked almost couldn’t believe on what she heard from her.

            “Okay! I–––’’ she was about to explain when Vicky interrupt her.

            “Just come at my wedding in time! You’re my maid of honour Rachel. So, take note that in your mind! Please!” she said and stands up. “And if you failed to come on time… I swear! I wouldn’t give any attention on you! I swear that!” she said in a final tone and before she may able to answer back. Vicky left her quickly and she knew that she’s really mad at her.

            Oh, well she couldn’t blame her! After the busy months that she’s been doing so many things. She already forgotten too many important things to her life and even her own family and best friend has been set aside. And just thinking of it made her head ache in pain so she tried to relax her self and massage it with her own hands. Then she thought, if only she would be able to take some rest and face the world that she’s been left for a while when she starts working under her father. But it wasn’t just that easy to do!

            She releases a very deep, deep breath and she closes her eyes so tightly as if all the things that kept her worry would be gone so soon. Though, she knew to her self that it won’t! And all that she can do is to catch up with Vicky…

            “Dad!” she called his attention.

            “Hija!” he stand up and she kiss him in his cheeks before he pulled the chair for her.

            “Why where here, Dad?” she asked afterwards when the waiter already got their orders and left them for a while.

            “Well!” he paused for a while with a huge smile on his face that makes her wonder that what ever his going to say to her! It was good news for their family!

            “Oh, come on Dad! Just say it out!” she commented when she get a little bit excited to know what was he’s up too. “You’re just making it suspense!” she added.

            He laughs on it that made her forehead stretch consciously. “Okay! Okay! I’ll tell you about it!” he finally said it and waits till the waiter finish bringing their orders at their table.

            “Okay! Spill it out, Dad!” she said.

            “Well,” he started. “We’ve already won the bet! And we’re be the dealer of the Thomson Company!” he said it with so much excitement on his voice.

            “What! Really!” she said in so much surprised because Thomson Company was one of the top company in the whole wide world and being part of it made them more up in the top too. But she already knew what would it mean… and on her part… she knew it would be a hard one to handle… she may able to forget everything just to make sure that Thomson Company wouldn’t be disappointed choosing their company.

            “It’s that all you can say, Hija?!” his father asked him that made him back to her senses.

            She smiles at him and, “I’m just glad and happy to hear that, Dad!” she finally says something. “So,” she grabs her wine glass to make a toss, “let’s make a toss of our success! And I, your precious daughter, congratulates you for the job well done!” she said and put up the wine glass at the air.

            He smiles at him and, “Thank you my dear daughter!” he said and he copied what she done. “And we cheers to that!”

            “Cheers!” she said and they toss it!

            “What?” she was surprised hearing to her father. “But, Dad! Next week will be the wedding of my best friend, Vicky! And if I wouldn’t get there in time, she’ll curse me forever!” she explained in a worry tone.

            “But Hija, you’re the one that they’ve wanted to see and talk too. And besides, the wedding would be held at Saturday afternoon so you can still make it!” he said.

            “But…” she paused and thinks it all over.

            Well, his father was right about it and besides she didn’t just went to a trip to take a vacation! It is a very important business that needed to take over! A very important one! And she was the one chooses to be the representative of their company. So, who wouldn’t want to come and meet the Thomson Family? No one!

            So, what would she go to do about it? Well, as what his father told her… she can still come in time at Vicky’s’ wedding. So, why she’s worrying too much about it!

            Yeah! Why should I worry too much of it when I can make it for those two! She spoke to her self and smiles on that thought. “Okay, Dad! I agree to be the representative of our company!” she said in a final tone.

            His father’s eyes got so happy and excited to what she just said. “Oh, I’m so glad to hear that!” he said. “I’ll support you into it, Hija!” he added with a smile.

            She smiles back at him and, “I knew! And thank you for your trust, Dad!” she said.

            “Did you what?” Jorge asked her once more.

            “Oh, come on Jorge!” she said. “You’ve already heard it! So, what else do you want me to say?”

            “That… you’ve change your mind about it.”

            “Oh, Jorge! I can not do that!” she said.

            “Why?”

            “It’s a business matter and you know what I mean.” She just simply said it.

            He sighs. “But next week is Vicky’s wedding and you have to be there. You were her maid of honour, Rachel.”

            “I know… I know!” she said. “That’s why I book a flight immediately at that date and besides, Vicky would understand it! It’s our chance to take over nation wide. And the Thomson Company would be our start.”

            “But to exchange of it… you’ll have to set aside your own life and your friends too.” He said meaningfully.

            She stares at him seriously. “I won’t do that, Jorge! I will just finish this one and soon, things would be the same again. I promise!” she said and signs a cross through her heart.

            Jorge stares at her with a doubt. “Are you sure of that?”

            “Yes! Indeed!” she answered with full of conviction on her voice.

            “Then, how about us?” he asked afterwards and hoping that Rachel would notice it.

            She stares at him and smiles. “I knew that you’ve been waiting for a long time but it seems that I couldn’t get my self be in a serious relationship, mostly these times. You knew how hard to synchronize my time on my own and if I would get involve into a serious relationship… I think it would only cause a huge damage between us. And I don’t want that happens to us, Jorge! You knew how much I care and love you! I hope you’ll understand it.”

            He stares at her for a long moment of time before he releases a deep breath and, “okay! I’ll just wait till your ready on it. But I promise you that I’ll always be here at your side whenever, wherever.” He said so seriously.

            She simply smiles on him and says, “I knew you would and I thank you for that, Jorge!” she sincerely said and he just smiles at her.

            Saturday…

            Though she already made a promise still… promises made to be broken…

            She didn’t expect that the Thomson Company would be given a party for her and to her companions before they live their place. That happens to be on the same day at Vicky’s wedding. And because she couldn’t say no to Mr. and Mrs. Thomson, she immediately called up Vicky and explained things. And she also revered her sister Raquel to stand on her position. But eventually, Vicky gets mad at her and she just cut off her call and since then… Vicky and she don’t get in touch. While Jorge, at first got mad at her but soon he already accepted her reason though things were not the same as before. Mostly when after one year, her father died in a heart attack and because of it. She was the one who takes over of all that their father left. And being the CEO of their company means, she’s accepting all the heavy duty at the leader of the company. That made her more far from her family and friends and mostly for having a serious relationship…

            Things that she didn’t have much time to spend too! Though she’s happy on what she chooses still, there’s something on her that doesn’t yet complete and whatever it was… she still didn’t knew what it was…

            PRESENT

            She opens her eyes and once more she’s inside the thin line. Still in between life and death…

            She releases a heavy air and, “Why!?” she shouted out loud.

            “Burden…”

            She heard her once more. She looks back and saw the woman standing there and for a while she thought it was a savoir but as far as she remembers it wasn’t. She’s the one who balances the life and death of a human. But still, it was hard for her to believe that it was her end…

            “You’ve been given many chances, Rachel.” The woman spoke once more and she just kept listening. “And you knew you have to let it go. Set your self free and let you go at the light. Because there’s only one path way to pass through and that one way was the only portal that you have to let in.”

            She sighs. “I already knew that and I think…” she paused and looks back behind her and saw the mortal world.

            “Don’t think of the things that you’ve left without an answer. You were seeking into something that has already been passes and because of it. You wouldn’t be able to change it nor to correct it. It was too late for you to realize things that you’ve done wrong.”

            She heard it loud and clear and that was the right words that she wanted to say and hear from her self. But still she couldn’t admit it to her self! She’s still in denial and couldn’t accept the truth! She doesn’t want to know that she’s finally realize the things that she’s already been let go and now that she’s the midst of nothing… realization came so fast like it flows so fast that she couldn’t stop it’s flowing fast and all that she can do was just let her self flow together with it!

            Success was easy to earn

            Being on the top of all,

            Though sacrifice my learn

            Easy to be on top

            That takes so hard,

            But easy to flop

            Difficult to be afford…

            She faces the woman when she heard her says those words and she immediately understand what was the woman wanted her to realize. And now, it’s up to her if she’ll accept the one last chance that the woman wanted to gave her.

            She smiles at her. “Thank you!” she just simply said.

            She smiles back at her. “I’ll give you only one last chance. And I hope this time it was the right way that you’ve been choose. And the next time that you see me and be in this place… you were ready to let go of everything behind.”

            “I am!” she said. “And I knew this time it is the right decision that I ever made in my life. I just hope that I could have much time to make it right.” She added with sadness on her voice.

            “You will.” She simply said. “Just think it was the end… because in every ending… there’s always been a new beginning… remembers that…”

            She smiles at her and whispered thank you after the light from her back sunk her once more. She knew that it would be the last but as what the woman told her. It was just the start of a new beginning. And she really believes on it!

            Maybe, she just realizes things too late but still she manage to be forgiven a chance to make it, not correct but at least make it in the right place. All the things that she done wrong would never be change or correct but she can make it more light. By just taking the right time for all the persons that she done wrong…

            Now, all her hopes and thoughts… she put it in the positive way… because she knew she would make it… she believes on it so much… she just believe!

            Rachel Johnson the CEO of the Johnson Company, who leads it to the top than her father. She became the highest founder of it since she handles it on her own and she manages to take control of it fully. As what her father and her companions at the company thought of her!

            Though, there were lots of changes that turn her to set aside the most important things in life. Her life surrounds only for her company making it always on the top. But her social life and her entire freedom being her was already lost to her life and when something happens on her. It changes things that made her to open her heart and soul! That made her finally see beyond things that she already set aside though they all still trying to reach on her. She just ignores it and forgets everything that she thought it wasn’t too important to take or have some time of it! And now that she finally realizes it, though she knew it was too late for her part. Still, she knows it now and she was ready to face it and finally let her self be in to it!

            At seven o’clock in the morning, she came at the office with a smile and gladness to her face. That made the people wonder what was going on with her but she just ignore their thoughts of her. Because for her it wasn’t too important to waste time on it!

            “Elise, follow me at the office.” She said after she greeted her a good morning.

            “Yes, Ms. Johnson!” she answered.

            “So, what’s my schedule for the day?” she asked when they got into her office.

            “You have a meeting with Mr. Brown at nine in morning. After that, you have a launch meeting with Mr. and Mrs. Clinton and at three in the afternoon you have to come with Eng. Rodriguez to see the site.”

            She already knew all the details but still she let her talk and when she’s done she ask something else on her. “Do you have a little brother, Elise?” she asked when she remembered the third time that causes her to die that night near at her building. The once whose fighting at the next road near there and she now remembered one of the faces of those guys. She already knew why because, she saw it already at her place while it was talking with Elise. And besides the two both look the same like… “Siblings, that’s what I mean Elise.” She added.

            “Ah, yes Ms. Johnson!” she answered. “I have a young brother and his been here last day.”

            “And as I look at it, you two got a fight am I right?” she asked and added quickly, “I don’t mean anything Elise, I’m just asking if… I could help you out.” She said with a smile.

            Elise stares at her surprisingly and wondering if she’s telling the truth or not but she done all the things that would make her to believe.

            “I knew it’s kind of weird that I’m asking you about something personal but…” she looks at her with sincerity in her eyes. “You’ve been working for me for almost seven years or so. But as what I remembered, I didn’t yet given you a nice and long vacation. And I think you deserve it now!”

            “What? Ms. Johnson if–––’’

            “No! Let me finish first, Elise!” she said to stop her. “I knew that you’ve work hard to our company and having much more time for your family is more than important than the company so… for now Elise, you can now take your long vacation. And I don’t accept buts or no from you, understand?”

            She stares at her still in shock so she the one talks again.

            “Oh, come on Elise! Just says “Thank You!” she said with a smile on her face.

            She finally smiles at her sincerely. “Thank you, Ms. Johnson!” she finally said it. “I really appreciate it so much!” she added.

            “Your welcome, Elise!” she answered. “So, go now!”

            “But Ms. J–––’’

            “I said no buts! So, let me handle these things on my own. Okay?” she said.

            She nods at her. “Alright! I think I should go now before you’ve change your mind.”

            “Of course! Go now before I change my mind!” she said and Elise finally came out of her office with a smile on her face and it felt relieve on her part. It felt so light and free that she didn’t even felt since she handles the company by her own…

            Before nine o’clock in the morning she already talks to Mr. Brown and gave all the conditions that they would be needed to tackle and it up to him if she would accept it or not. Then she takes care of the other important things when she remembered the forth times that she died. She decided to talk with Dr. Drake to find out about the nurse that they had before.

            “Yes!” Dr. Drake answered. “We had a nurse before but she’s been fired off by you when she got pregnant. Why did you ask Rachel?” she added.

            “Well, I want to see her now and talk with her.” She said seriously.

            “But I think she’s already at the hospital now.”

            “What!?” she was surprised hearing that news because if she could count it, she only seven months pregnant by now.

            “She got a serious matter with her pregnancy the reason why she and her child was now in danger.” He said as if she read what was she’s thinking.

            “Okay! Just tell me the hospital that she’s in.” she ordered and Dr. Drake easily gave it to her.

            Seeing the woman lying in the bed made her heart feels so sad and she already learned that this woman really needs money that may able to save her and the baby. She didn’t come from a family the reason why they don’t have enough money to make sure of her safety. So, talks to the family of Michaela and takes care of all the charges that needed just to make sure her safety and the safety of her child.

            “You’ve finally awake, Michaela!” she said when she saw her awake after taking care of her bills and everything that she and her baby needed.

            “Ms. Johnson!” she was surprised seeing her there.

            “I knew that you were surprise seeing me here. But I think you should know that, everything was taken care of now. So, you don’t have to worry about.” She said with a smile and sincerity on her face.

            “But–––’’

            “No buts, Michaela!” she stopped her before she says something. “I just came here to say sorry too. And I want you to know that, your still can back at your work at my company’s clinic. You know how much Dr. Drake needs someone like you so, just accept it and let it be. Okay?”

            Michaela gets teary eyes and smiles on her. “I didn’t know what to say to you, Ms. Johnson.” She said.

            “Oh, it was easy! Just says, “I’ll accept it!” and that’s all I needed to her from you, Michaela.” She said.

            She sighs and, “Okay! I’ll accept it, Ms. Johnson!”

            “Good!” she said. “And for now, just make sure that you’ll take care of your self and the baby too, alright!?” she nodded at her and she let her self talks for her for a while since that she already been talked to Mr. and Mrs. Clinton so she have lots of time to spent talking with Michaela.

            “What! Are you kidding me!? That’s too absurd, my dear sister!” she knew it Raquel would got exaggerated hearing it from her.

            “Hay! Raquel just this one! Make it serious, please!” she said almost wanted to plead to her own sister. Oh, well it was a huge surprised on her side too! She’ll be joining preparing the party for their mother was really out of her league… before… but not now that she finally realize what was the most important thing in life! So, “just tell me what can I do to help you, okay?”

            But Raquel just laughs on her and says, “Oh, come on sis! I knew you were too busy at your company so I think you don’t have much time to–––’’

            “I have lots of time to spend with you, my dear sister!” she said in serious tone. “So now, will you please just tell me what else I can do for you? Or maybe I should just come there and help you out.” She finally decided and before Raquel can answer she immediately cut off her call and went straight to her car. She decided to go home now and no one could stop her well, there’s one thing she needs to take care off. It was her neighbour who happened to cause her first and second death.

            She knocks and waits till someone opens the door for her. It was the same guy who fired the gun on those two nights though she didn’t saw the anger on his eyes. Because entirely saw was a nice and friendly stares of a neighbour hood that ready to talk and listen to her.

            “Hi!” she said. “I’m Rachel your neighbour.” She introduced her self.

            “Oh, hi! You’re maybe the woman that my wife was telling me.” He said that surprised her first but when she remembered it she already knew what was his talking about. She just helps his wife a couple of times then but it seems that his wife easily likes her and she’s always been given her foods whenever she’s at her house. And she already learned that his wife just wanted to have a child but eventually she couldn’t have it. His husband had a problem that causes her not to get pregnant that’s the reason why she got a little bit obsess in helping an orphanage of children. Where she felt that she’s a mother but his husband doesn’t knew about it because his wife thought that he would get mad and blame him self not having a child. But it turns out that her husband thought that she’s with someone else that turns into jealousy and soon in anger. And before he could kill his on wife, she will explained everything on him that would make him sure that his wife really loves him so much. And all that she just wanted to her life was to experience being a mother. So, she just tells it all to her husband and when he heard it he decided to see his wife to see what was his wife doing. She gladly brought him at the orphanage where his wife working and seeing them made her lighter because she knew this time that her husband would not get mad at her that would only cause to death…

And as what she expected, Jorge reacts so shock and surprised so she explained her big reason why she needed to gave it to him. Though his still shock and surprise he manage to congratulate her that she finally realize one important thing! And it was her family first more than any thing else here in this world.

            Hearing that someone was happy for her changes still, she couldn’t say that word. She still wanted to see and talk to one person that she hurt so much and that time is already been at her front. Seeing her once more brings back all the memories that they’ve been shared since they were still young. And now she finally realizes what she had done to her one and only best friend. She regrets it that much that she wanted to catch up for all the things that she done to her. And it was… now! Though… she knew to her self that it was too late for her to make it up, but still she wants to spend the last hours being with her once more.

            “Hi!” she said first and smiled at her hoping she smiles back at her. But to her surprise, Vicky hugs her tight and she felt her shoulder shaking because she’s crying onto her right at that moment. Without any words, she just hugs her back and let her cry for a moment. They just stand there for a long time and without any words she already knew that Vicky already forgiven her. Period

            “Hey! I miss you so much, didn’t you know that?” Vicky finally spoke up with her after she cried all out through her.

            She smiles at her. “Yeah! Me too! And, I hope that I could still catch up for all the lacking times that I should be with you in a special days of your life.”

            She laughs at her. “Oh, come on Raquel! It’s nothing anymore!” she said. “I’m just happy seeing you now and finally seeing you giving some time. A real time for you family! And I hope it would stay for forever.”

            She smiles and, “of course! I will!” she said. “Mostly now, that I finally see the true! And… oh, gosh! I really miss you so much!”

            “Me too!” and they once again hug each other.

            “I’m glad seeing you two back with each other!” someone spoke at their side and when they look at it. It was Jorge, staring at them so happily and gladly.

            “Jorge!” they said it duet.

            “Hi, beautiful ladies!” he greeted.

            Vicky came near him and hugs him. “Oh, I miss you so much!”

            “Me too!” he replied. “Anyway! How’s life being a wife and a mom?”

            “Well,” she smiles and, “as what you can see! I’m so happy and satisfied in my life! Even though it’s hard from first I still manage to cope with it!” she gladly answered that made her felt a little bit jealous. Why? Maybe because she knew to her self that she wouldn’t get the chance to have a family like her best friend. But why would she felt jealous? If she knew to her self that she chooses that life over than anything else!

            “Hey! Rachel!” Vicky noticed her when she kept silent and the two chat together. “What? Are you going to just listen to us?”

            She tried to smile and secretly bite her tongue to stop her tears fall down through her eyes. “Of course not!” she said. “I’m just waiting till the two of you get tired talking and that was the time I’ll interrupt in you two.”

            “She’s still jealous on us, Jorge!” Vicky exclaimed that made her cheeks blush because half of it was true.

            “Oh, come on Vicky! Were too old for that jealously word!” she commented.

            “But you still blush, my dear best friend!” and she laugh at her.

            “Oh!” all that she could say and Jorge just laughs about it and soon she’s laughing with them together. Now she realizes another thing once more! She misses laughing like that! The same things that she left behind and now that she had still time, she thinks, she could still experience it to the fullest! Well, she would also enjoy each moments that she still have!

            When Richard, the third sibling, and Roxana, the youngest of them all came with their mother, the once who let them gave a time to prepare by bringing their mother out of the house and took it out somewhere. And Raquel was the one who called those two to come back now because they’ve already done preparing. So, when the car stops on the front of the house. All of them kept quiet and all the lights are off till the celebrant came in. Raquel prepared it all and she, as the oldest sibling, chosen to be the MC of that night.

            She easily agrees to it and when she looks at the clock it was almost six in the evening. Meaning she had three hours left and she knew what would going to happen if the time clicks at nine. But it didn’t bother to her because she knew this time that no one would sacrifice on her place. Because she already accepted her fate! And she’s ready to face it now!

            “Happy anniversary!” everyone greeted and she saw that their mother was really surprised on what they’ve done that day. And she saw to her eyes that she’s starting to cry. So, she chooses to come closer to give the gift that she prepared earlier before she came home.

            “Mom!” she said.

            Her mother looks at her and to her surprised, her mother easily cries seeing her there and before she knew it! Her mother hugs her so tight and, “oh! God! Thank you so much for bringing here my daughter!” she whispered in between sobbing.

            Now she knew and felt what she had done so wrong for a long years. Letting all the important things and important person in her life behind, made them hurt and live in pain. Because she let it happened without noticing it, felt her numb and dump inside and out.

            How could she done those things? When she remembered what was their father told her that she needed to take care for her siblings and for their mother! And maybe she misunderstood the words of their father. She thought that taking care first of the company would takes care of their family too. But to the exchange of it, she let her self be far from them that turn out to hurt them that much. And now that she finally realizes it, it was the right time to make it up to them.

            And all that she could only say is, “I’m so sorry Mom!” she whispered and hugs her so tight as if she wanted to cope up with the times that she left their mother behind.

            She releases her from its hug and looks straight to her eyes. “Rachel, you don’t have to feel sorry for us. You’ve just did what you think is right and we understand it all. I’m just glad that you still made it to here, in our special day and I knew that even your father wasn’t here. He’s glad and happy seeing you here, with us!”

            “Yeah! I agree with Mom!” Richard commented and when she looks at him, he’s smiling back at her.

            “Me too!” Roxana spoke to that made her teary eye.

            “Oh, come on! It supposes to be happy and not sad!” Raquel said and stand at their side. “Mom, can we now guide you to our garden where we all made it more beautiful than ever just for you?”

            “Yeah, Mom! She’s right!” she said. “Let’s get out of here and let us see you your going to love what we’ve have made there.” She added.

            She saw her sighs and, “okay! Let me see it now!” their mother said with a smile on her face that made her heart light up in joy. And deep down through, she misses it so much. Now she thought how she ever made to forget how to be so happy and be contented to her life in just a very simple way?

            Ah! I really don’t know how to answer it!  She silently said it to her self and went out together with their mother at the garden.

            “Hey!” it was Jorge voice that made her heart beats fast.

            “Hey!” she answered back.

            “What are you doing here?” he asked her and sat beside her. She’s in inside the green house, the garden that built by their father. It was a gift for the four of his children and now that she’s here. She really misses the place so she chooses to stay there for just a while. But as soon as she gets in here, she had the feeling that she couldn’t just let go of the place anymore.

            “How I wish that our Dad was still here.” She said rather than to answer his question.

            “You’ve misses him.” He said matter-of-factly and she just nodded on it. “Rachel, even if his not here anymore. He would always be there in your heart and I knew that you can feel him too.”

            She looks at him and smiles. “I know!” she said. “And thank you…”

            “For what?” He asked and looks at her clueless.

            “For everything!” she said. “You’ll always there for me, Jorge! As what you’ve promise me before. You’ve never left me and I knew you still love me even though I’m not worth it.”

            “No!” he said. “You’re worth it! Rachel…” he holds her hands and, “I’m going to love you for the rest of my life and I promise you that I’ll show it to you. And I’m not hoping to–––’’

            “I love you too, Jorge!” she said that surprised him and she smiles on him. “Yes! I love you even before. I was just scared first to let you know what I truly feel. But not now…” she stares on his eyes. Even if it’s too late for me to say this to you… “I’m still glad to finally reveal my true feeling towards you, Jorge!” she said and before he says something she sealed it with a kiss before time strikes at…

            Nine o’ clock! A stray bullet end up her life…
